XY was a high functioning talented and gifted ballet dancer who fell and injured her back in her early thirties. She developed severe back pain and was unable to continue working. The patient needed to live with her mother, and 5 years into a progessively deterioration physical and emotional situation started to develop more chronic fatigue and the diagnosis of fibromyalgia was made. She continued to live with her mother and was consciously aware of severe rage directed toward her father. Over a period of time she learned to get in touch with that rage, her symptoms disappeared and her emotional state improved.
