Real World Success

This patient presented with knee pain, hip pain and shoulder pain. He was being treated with steroids, methotrexate, and Enbrel for severe rheumatoid arthritis. He had had an affair with his boss's daughter, been fired, had been thrown out of his house, and was in the process of getting divorced. His anger level was too high to even measure. I promised him that within three months he would have his job back, be living with his wife in his old home, his affair would be forgotten, and he would be symptom free off medication.
